DON'T MESS UP

Today was gathering an exciting and adventurous day in the life of Elizabeth. First, I unloaded groceries, like usual, and then helped measure out some things for a video that Paco would be doing later on in the day. During that process, an ingredient was missing on the list. Ginger. It was no where to be found, so I was told to go ask everyone if they had any and then if they did not then to go raid all of the fridges for it. But before I raided the fridges, Bryan said he had some and gave it to me so I could go grate it. After grating about a tablespoon worth of "ginger", Kenji and Paco at the same time informed me that it was not ginger. Bryan had fooled me. It was horseradish. I had a sense of what ginger looked like, but I guess I was wrong.( I later found out that for someone who has never seen/used ginger and horseradish before they have similar characteristics, so that made me feel better.) Paco then took the horseradish that I had grated into the small kitchen where Bryan was working, and chucked it on his cutting board. Bryan had a few laughs and then I was on yet another search for ginger. Then, after helping Paco, I got to help Kenji and then Dan. Basically I did the same thing for both, which was measuring out ingredients for their different dishes that they were making. However, Kenji's work is always perfect and if one person you don't want to mess up something on, it would be his. So I was working extra cautiously when measuring things for him. I also informed him how I was going to make sure not to mess up, so then when it came time for me to dump all of the ingredients into the big bowl he had already put the ricotta cheese in (for ricotta pie), he told me, " don't mess up." And this comment that he made was half sass and then half serious. My stress level while doing that must have been through the roof.

After work, I took the train ALL BY MYSELF. Yeah. That's right. All by myself. I guess I'm a big girl now. To be honest, I was terrified because I began to think of all of the situations that could happen while I was on the train underground. For example, it could have broken down and I could have been stuck underground for who knows how long and even worse, Will would have no idea where I was. Another example, if my phone had been stolen. Will informed me a few months ago that some people waiting on the train see people next to the doors with nice phones and so they get on the train when the doors open and bolt out before they close. And since I am addicted to my phone, especially being away from so many people. If that had happened then I could have died then and there. Thankfully nothing happened.

Then I arrived to meet Will and got to meet all of his dental friends. They are interesting to say the least. Then on the way home, I have never seen so much chaos in my life. The train at 6. There were so many people in it that no one could move once they got on. But the trick is to wait a while and then sometimes a train that is going the same place will come up behind it, so it won't be as crowded.

Last day of work tomorrow. It went by so fast.
