So on my way home today, I was walking across the street to get to the other side walk and what happens? I was tricked...tricked by the slush. I was trying to dodge the slush, so I looked for a spot that was just wet, rather than a puddle. I jumped and landed on what I thought was the wet spot, however, it was a puddle. I am sure the cars waiting at the light highly enjoyed my facial expression as I realized that my foot sunk into the watery-slush. Watch out for things like that. They will get you.
Other than that, today at work I got to help make brown sugar cookies. I also sat in on a meeting for what food items should be used many months from now. We all watched the inauguration too. Shout out to Grace who was at the inauguration today.
And this is the cake I made when I got home from work. I had a really strong urge to bake today so after work, I walked to Stop&Shop and bought what I needed to make this and BAM!!!
Tomorrow at work I will be shadowing Yvonne. She is the one at America's Test Kitchen who normally tests the 5 recipe tests of the baked goods. Should be exciting.
